Your lesson provider
Your contract is with Hussan Lal, a self-employed driving instructor trading as CoreDrive Driving School. Our service base is Wolverhampton, England. Email: hussanlal@msn.com. Telephone: 07534 475429.
In this document, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the instructor or driving-school business identified above.
Tuition is provided by Hussan Lal, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), in an automatic Toyota C-HR GR Sport. DVSA registration relates to driving instruction; it is not approval of the website technology.
We supply your driving lessons and are responsible for bookings, tuition payments and any refund due. This website accepts enquiries, not lesson bookings or tuition payments. A booking is made only when we accept your requested lesson or package and confirm it to you after receiving the full payment or allocating sufficient prepaid package credit.
Services, prices and payments
We provide automatic driving lessons in Wolverhampton, Featherstone and the other locations listed in our covering areas. Availability and the collection point are agreed before booking. We do not offer manual lessons through this school.
| Lesson or package | Included ordinary lesson time | Total price |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5-hour automatic lesson | 1.5 hours | £63 |
| 2-hour automatic lesson | 2 hours | £80 |
| 3-hour automatic lesson at the standard rate | 3 hours | £129 |
| 6 For 5 introductory offer | 5 hours plus the test-day credit described below | £215 |
| 10-hour package | 5 × 2-hour lessons | £399.90 |
| 20-hour package | 10 × 2-hour lessons | £774 |
| 30-hour package | 15 × 2-hour lessons | £1,128.75 |
| 40-hour package | 20 × 2-hour lessons | £1,505 |
The standard reference rate is £43 per hour. Individual lessons are booked for 1.5, 2 or 3 hours; a reference hourly rate is not an offer of a one-hour appointment.
The test-day vehicle service costs £125 and includes a 1.5-hour pre-test lesson. Eligible 6 For 5 purchasers receive their reserved £43 credit against this charge, leaving £82 payable. This is a credit against the same service, not an extra free hour on top of it. The official DVSA test fee is separate. A package does not by itself reserve the vehicle.
Before you agree, we confirm the service and duration, dates or scheduling arrangements, when it will be provided, the total price including applicable tax and unavoidable charges, payment arrangements and relevant package conditions. Where applicable, we also explain the contract duration, minimum commitment and how it can be ended.
All driving lessons must be paid for in full when booked. We confirm a lesson once we have accepted the booking and received full payment or allocated sufficient credit from your prepaid package. If you pay for a lesson we cannot accept, we tell you promptly and return the payment, or apply it to another lesson if you ask us to. If we allocated package credit, we release it back to your prepaid balance. If you buy a package, its full price is payable when you purchase it; when you book an included lesson, we allocate the relevant amount from your prepaid balance without charging you again for the same lesson.
We accept bank transfer and cash. Full payment is required up front when booking an individual lesson and when buying a package. We confirm the payment instructions directly; the website does not collect card or bank-account details or take tuition payments.
Our purchase and refund transaction fee is £0. We do not charge a payment-processing or administration fee.
Tuition payments are made directly to Hussan Lal as the independent lesson provider. COREDRIVE PRIVATE LTD does not sell these lessons, take the tuition payment or decide a school refund.
We account for advance payments and provide a record of your paid and used balance on request. A later price increase does not change the terms of a package already purchased. Any standard-rate calculation for an ordinary early end to a discounted package must be explained and agreed before that purchase; it cannot be introduced afterwards.
We agree the lesson start time, duration and pickup arrangements before accepting the booking. You can contact Hussan Lal in person, by phone, SMS or WhatsApp on 07534 475429, or by email at hussanlal@msn.com, to stop lessons or change an appointment. If a lesson cannot safely proceed, we explain the reason and apply the cancellation and refund policies fairly; a safety concern does not automatically make all advance payments non-refundable.
Learning and safety
CoreDrive Driving School is responsible for providing your driving lessons with reasonable care and skill. Your instructor must ensure that any vehicle they supply is suitable, roadworthy and correctly insured for driving tuition. If lessons take place in your own vehicle, you must ensure it meets these requirements and provide reasonable confirmation when requested. Your instructor must still check that it is suitable and safe for the planned lesson. You must have the entitlement and eyesight required for the vehicle and lesson. We check eligibility proportionately; a website enquiry is not proof of it. We discuss your needs privately and make reasonable adjustments required by equality law. We do not charge you for those adjustments or refuse service merely because of disability.
Using the instructor’s vehicle for your driving test
Use of an instructor’s vehicle for a driving test must be agreed separately with CoreDrive Driving School. Buying lessons or a package, or booking a DVSA test, does not by itself reserve the vehicle. Please check availability and the arrangements with your instructor before booking or changing your test date. Neither a vehicle booking nor a payment guarantees a pass.
We may decline a new request, including a short-notice request, where we cannot make suitable arrangements. When deciding, we consider:
- Assessed driving ability. Your instructor needs a reasonable opportunity to assess your driving and familiarity with the proposed vehicle. Previous lessons elsewhere or a test booking alone do not establish readiness. We explain any assessment lesson and its price before you agree to pay for it, and explain any further preparation we recommend before you book it. No fixed number of lessons guarantees approval.
- Vehicle safety and insurance. The vehicle must meet the applicable DVSA requirements and have insurance covering the proposed test use. We will not make it available where there is an identified, unreasonable safety risk or the required cover is absent.
- Safety of everyone involved. Your instructor must have reasonable grounds to consider that you can drive safely and independently at the required standard, with appropriate consideration of any reasonable adjustments.
- Existing commitments. A new request must fit the instructor’s availability. We do not cancel another learner’s agreed lesson or test arrangement simply to accommodate a new short-notice request. This does not allow us to displace a test-day booking we have already agreed with you.
- Professional standards. Instructors are expected to exercise professional judgement about test readiness. DVSA uses pupil test-performance indicators when deciding whether an instructor should take a standards check. We base decisions about vehicle use on your assessed readiness, safety and the agreed arrangements. We do not refuse or withdraw vehicle use to protect a pass rate.
We explain any readiness conditions before accepting a test-day booking or payment. If, after we have agreed vehicle use, a genuine concern arises about safety, insurance, or the vehicle’s availability or suitability, we discuss it with you promptly, explain the reasons and give as much notice as reasonably possible. We do not withdraw agreed vehicle use to accommodate another learner. A refusal does not automatically make you responsible for a cancellation charge or allow us to keep your payment. We account for services actually supplied and refund any amount owed under our Refund Policy. Your rights if we fail to provide an agreed service remain unaffected. A readiness decision does not guarantee a particular test outcome or prevent you from making another lawful vehicle arrangement.
Changing or ending lessons
You can stop lessons and end your contract at any time. You do not have to give 14 days’ notice. Tell your instructor in person, by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email using the contact routes confirmed with your booking. You do not need a reason, a form or our approval. Ending the contract cancels its remaining appointments and unbooked package hours; if you only want to move or cancel one appointment, please say so.
The appointment notice period is 48 hours. It applies only to appointments already booked. A late-cancellation charge may apply to an appointment within that period, subject to our Cancellation Policy. It does not prevent you from ending the contract or require notice for unbooked hours.
Our Cancellation Policy explains appointment notice, rescheduling and statutory cancellation. Our Refund Policy explains money owed back. The Offer and Package Terms apply to the offer or package you purchase. Only the 6 For 5 starter offer is once-only; other lesson packages may be purchased repeatedly. Your statutory consumer rights take priority over these terms and policies.
If you choose to end a discounted package early outside the statutory cooling-off route, we value completed lessons at the standard hourly rate agreed when you bought it and refund the amount remaining after any other lawful, fair deduction. The Refund Policy explains the calculation, its limits and when the original package rate must be used instead. No full-rate adjustment applies because you leave in response to our breach or failure to provide the agreed service.
Once the refund amount and payment details are agreed, allow up to seven calendar days for processing. We do not delay agreeing the amount unreasonably or extend any statutory refund deadline. An earlier legal deadline takes priority.
Some contracts agreed online, by phone or away from our business premises also carry a legal 14-day cooling-off right, normally running from the day after the contract is made. This is a window for using extra legal protection, not a notice period or a deadline for stopping lessons. Our Cancellation Policy explains that right. Starting during the window requires your express request; the right ends on full completion only with the required request and acknowledgement. One lesson does not by itself complete a package.
We give you the agreed contract and relevant policies on paper or in another durable medium, such as email. A changeable webpage alone is not the contract confirmation.
Complaints
Please raise lesson, payment or service complaints with CoreDrive Driving School first, at hussanlal@msn.com or 07534 475429, so we can investigate and try to put things right. We aim to acknowledge service complaints within five working days and provide a substantive response within 14 days. If we need longer, we explain why and keep you updated. These service targets do not extend statutory refund or data-rights deadlines. We explain our decision and provide any remedy due. If a dispute remains unresolved, we explain any applicable external dispute-resolution route, including participation required by law or a binding membership or agreement. Where participation is voluntary, we tell you whether we agree to use the proposed route. Your right to use the courts or seek independent advice remains unaffected.
You may also report an instructor’s service or conduct to DVSA at instructorconduct@dvsa.gov.uk. DVSA cannot recover tuition payments for you. You remain free to seek independent advice, report a concern directly to the relevant authority or pursue a civil claim without completing our complaints process. For privacy complaints, see our Privacy Notice.
Your legal rights and our responsibility
CoreDrive Driving School remains responsible for meeting its legal obligations as your lesson provider. These terms do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
If our service is not performed with reasonable care and skill, or does not match information we gave you that is binding under consumer law, you may be entitled to have the affected service provided again at no extra cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Where the law provides for it, you may instead be entitled to an appropriate price reduction, including a refund. These terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights. You may bring a claim in any court you are entitled to use under applicable law. The contract is governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and rights to use the courts of your home jurisdiction that apply to you.
