CoreDrive

Our story: from driving instruction to software

Every CoreDrive app is designed and developed by Hussan Lal, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), AI engineer and owner of Moje Solutions Ltd, a company specialising in custom software and AI-powered software solutions. With years of experience teaching learners to drive, Hussan brings practical knowledge of driving instruction into the software, creating tools to help instructors explain driving clearly and help learners understand their progress and prepare for the road.

Teaching experience shapes the software

A useful driving lesson starts with understanding the person behind the wheel. Learners bring different experiences, questions and levels of confidence. Instructors need ways to explain a situation, give helpful feedback and decide what to work on next.

Those everyday teaching needs guide Hussan’s work on CoreDrive. His experience as an ADI helps define what the apps need to do; his work as an AI engineer helps him turn those ideas into software. The aim is to make useful support available during lesson preparation, teaching and reflection, while keeping the instructor’s judgement central.

From research to ongoing care

Moje Solutions Ltd manages every stage of CoreDrive’s projects on CoreDrive’s behalf. Its work starts with research and planning, continues through software development and end-to-end testing, and carries on after launch with maintenance, aftercare and ongoing project management.

Six products, one CoreDrive family

We’re developing four focused mobile apps, Instructor Websites and the main Full CoreDrive app. These six products are planned to launch in stages:

  1. Mock Test is being built to support practical assessments, fault records and learner feedback.
  2. Street Canvas is being developed to help instructors explain driving situations visually, using maps, drawings and junction layouts.
  3. Progress & Reflections for Instructors is planned to support progress records, lesson feedback and decisions about what to practise next.
  4. Progress & Reflections for Learners is planned to give learners space to prepare for lessons, reflect on their learning and keep their own private notes.
  5. Instructor Websites is a planned web app for approved driving instructors to create and manage their own school website, including offers, pass stories, teaching vehicles and learner enquiries.
  6. Full CoreDrive is our planned main app, bringing the family’s teaching and learning services together under one roof. It is intended to support instructors and learners across the driving journey; we’ll confirm its full features and how the services connect before launch.

Helping more learners find your teaching

Many good driving instructors find the idea of creating a website daunting. Limited technical experience and worries about high agency fees can make it harder to reach learners who would benefit from their teaching. We’re developing CoreDrive Instructor Websites to make that step simpler and more affordable. Our goal is for an approved driving instructor to choose an included template and create a website in under two hours, with built-in SEO foundations and optional AI-powered content and SEO reviews. You’ll be able to share your teaching approach, show lesson prices and offers, celebrate learner successes and receive enquiries, then keep it all up to date yourself. Our independent driving school website shows how these details can help learners get to know you before their first lesson.

Supporting better teaching

DVSA’s National Standard for Driver and Rider Training places the learner’s needs at the centre of training. Our aim is to support that approach with tools that help instructors explain, assess and adapt their teaching to the individual.

We use DVSA’s published standards and guidance to inform development, with the goal of helping raise driving teaching standards. CoreDrive is independently developed; the apps are not approved or endorsed by DVSA. Qualified instruction and current official guidance remain essential.

This is the starting point

These six products are the starting point. Further software solutions are planned as we continue this work. The purpose will stay the same: use teaching experience and thoughtful software development to support instructors and the people learning with them.
