CoreDrive Instructor Websites
Teaching and business resources
A driving instructor website checklist
Your driving instructor website should help learners understand your school and ask about lessons. Start with accurate information that’s easy to find on a phone. You can then decide which extra pages or features you need.
From CoreDrive. The examples are fictional. Use this guide alongside qualified instruction and current official guidance.
Make your identity clear
Use your school’s name and a recognisable logo or introduction. Only list qualifications you can back up, and make it clear who the learner is contacting. Your registered office may be different from the area where you teach; describe both accurately.
Describe the lessons you offer
- Say whether you teach manual, automatic or both, and which lesson types you offer.
- List the areas where you teach. Don’t add offices you don’t have.
- Show how long a lesson lasts and what it costs.
- Explain offer conditions, including expiry dates or time reserved for test day.
Check your photos and learner stories
Show the vehicles you currently teach in, with their make, model and transmission. Get the right permission before publishing learner photos, congratulations or reviews, and describe what happened accurately. Keep demo stories labelled as examples; don’t present them as real testimonials.
Make it easy to enquire
Explain what details the form needs and what happens after someone sends it. Make clear that an enquiry doesn’t book a lesson. Before advertising the form as live, check that messages reach the right person and keep the recipient settings private.
When you change a rate, check it in the rates section, offer calculation, detail card and mobile view. The figures should agree. Send an authorised test enquiry through the real form and check that the intended person receives it once.
Try the website on a phone
- Read the introduction without zooming.
- Open an offer and read its conditions.
- Check that vehicle images and captions belong together.
- Try the enquiry form, check the required-field errors and open the privacy link.
- Also try the page with a keyboard and animations switched off.
Keep the information up to date
Write about the services you actually offer. Avoid making almost identical pages for every town. Keep important information as text, use headings that describe the content and remove old prices. Search visibility depends on many factors, so a template can’t guarantee rankings.
What CoreDrive is planning
The Learn With Mr Red template shows rates, offers, vehicles, pass photos and reviews. We still need to build and test the editor, hosting, subscriptions and live instructor enquiry service. We’re planning to start with CoreDrive subdomains; using your own domain isn’t part of the initial plan.
